An entire house gets insulation and new vinyl siding as well as pine t&g soffets.
This project involved a full exterior overhaul of the home. With the old siding removed, the wall sheathing and framing were exposed, giving our team access to properly insulate the house before installing new vinyl siding and finishing the roofline with pine tongue-and-groove soffits.

Why insulate a house at the same time as re-siding it?
Removing the old siding exposes the wall framing, which is the easiest and most cost-effective time to add or upgrade insulation. Doing both together avoids opening the walls again later.

What is a pine T&G soffit, and why use it?
A pine tongue-and-groove (T&G) soffit is a soffit made from interlocking pine boards, installed under the roofline. It gives the roof edge a finished, natural wood look while still sealing off the underside of the eaves.

Adding insulation to the exterior walls during a re-side, combined with a house wrap moisture barrier, can improve a home’s energy efficiency by reducing air and heat transfer through the walls.
